Mikel was so surprised that he ran away annoyed that the old woman could recognize him despite his disguise. ................ Disappointed, he went home and dressed as a pregnant woman, again he bumped into the same old lady and she said, "Mikel how far na, see as you just run the other day". Even though many people, (including you and I) have access to or at least have had access to Wi-Fi connections; how much do you know about it. Let's see how well you fare :)

<li>Wi-Fi Connections do not require an access point. Some people think they need to find a router, a public hotspot, or other kind of access point in order to set up Wi-Fi connections.this is not true! Wi-Fi also supports a connection type called ad hoc mode that allows devices to network in peer-to-peer fashion. </li>
<li>Industry vendors created the first version of Wi-Fi (802.11) back in 1997 (that's some 17 years ago). The market for consumer products exploded starting in 1999 when both 802.11a and 802.11b became official standards. </li>
<li>Wireless Broadband Routers are also Wi-Fi Access Points. An Access Point (AP) is a type of wireless hub used for coordinating the network traffic of multiple clients. One reason why wireless broadband routers make home networks much easier to build, is that they function as Wi-Fi access points. </li>
<li>A Wi-Fi network can span many Kilometers, or just a few meters. The typical range of a Wi-Fi network varies depending on the type of obstructions the radio signals encounter between connection endpoints. While 30m or more of range is typical, a Wi-Fi signal may fail to reach even half that distance if heavy obstructions exist on the radio signals' path. Using special Wi-Fi range extender devices, an administrator can extend the reach of their network to overcome these obstructions and expand its range many fold in other directions. A few Wi-Fi networks spanning 275 km and more have even been created by network enthusiasts over the years. </li>
<li>Wi-Fi connection speed varies with distance. When you join a Wi-Fi network and the access point is nearby, your device will typically connect at its maximum rated speed (e.g., 54 Mbps for most 802.11g connections). Gradually move away from the AP, though, and eventually your reported connection speed will drop to 27 Mbps, 18 Mbps, and lower.A cleverly-designed feature of Wi-Fi called dynamic rate scaling causes this phenomenon. Wi-Fi maintains a reliable connection over longer distances when it transfers data slower, by avoiding flooding the wireless connection with data and subsequent retry requests that happen when one network client starts to fall behind on processing its messages. </li>
<li>Wi-Fi is not the only form of wireless networking.News articles and social sites sometimes refer to any kind of wireless network as "Wi-Fi." While Wi-Fi is extremely popular, other forms of wireless technology are also in widespread use. Smartphones, for example, commonly use a combination of Wi-Fi together with cellular Internet services based on LTE or older "3G" systems.Bluetooth wireless remains a popular way to connect phones and other mobile devices each other (or to peripherals like headsets) over shorter distances.Home automation systems employ different kinds of short-range wireless radio communications such as Insteon and Z-Wave. </li>
<li>Some types of Wi-Fi are incompatible with each other.Some believe that any Wi-Fi system can network with any other Wi-Fi system as long as all their security settings match. While it's true that 802.11n,802.11g and 802.11b Wi-Fi standard equipment can all network together, the alternative 802.11a standard does not support cross-compatibility with any of these others. Special Wi-Fi access points that support both 802.11a and 802.11b (or higher) radios must be used to bridge the two. Other compatibility issues also can arise between Wi-Fi products from different vendors if both build their Wi-Fi equipment using non-standard proprietary extensions. Fortunately, compatibility limitations like these are not often found in practice nowadays. </li>

This would be a relief to many users of WhatsApp as the popular messaging app had been down in services for some time now (over 5 hours). WhatsApp was just recently acquired by Facebook some days ago for a staggering $19 billion.

When Google was busy giving away its software for free, Microsoft was busy charging $50 (N8,280) to vendors for using Windows. I presume that is the major reason why an average Windows tablet cost more than an equivalent Android tablet. And this same reason makes it difficult for end users and consumers alike to see a cheap, basic Windows tablet.

Microsoft has currently decided to up their game, battling it out with Android and probably Chromebook by reducing their license fee by 70 percent for devices that cost less than $250 (N41,400). This drops the licence fee for this range of devices to $15 (N2500). 
 
This price slash Engadget is to allow builders <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2014/02/21/microsoft-is-cutting-windows-pricing/?utm_source=Feed_Classic_Full&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Engadget&?ncid=rss_full" target="_blank">offer cheaper Windows tablets</a> that would compete favorably with the equivalent low end Android tablets and Chromebooks! 
 
So, the next time you see a Windows tablet worth $175 (N28,980). 
 
I hope this move works as well as it worked for them when they used the same trick to battle out Linux with Windows XP.

First off, I would like to explain what BlackBerry App World is :D! BlackBerry App World (or Blackberry World; as it's now known for) is the storefront of the popular BlackBerry smartphones. By storefront I mean app market; like we have the Ovi Store for Nokia, PlayStore for Android, App Store for iPhone and other related iOS devices etc. 
 
Now, there might be a couple reasons why the BlackBerry App World or BlackBerry World (from now henceforth, the word App World shall be used in place of BlackBerry App World and BlackBerry World) might go AWOL on your device. Some of them include 
<ol>
<li>You where updating your App World and you suddenly lost connection... </li>
<li>You just completed an OS upgrade.</li>
<li>Some other reasons which I have not personally encountered.</li>
</ol>
 
Enough of the plenty talk and let's get you a solution to your problem. If your App World has gone missing, is going missing or would go missing ;) (for any reason whatsoever); here is one of two things you might want to do:

<li>Visit <a href="http://www.blackberry.com/appworld/download" target="_blank">this link</a> with your BlackBerry device to download the App World directly to your mobile device. Alternatively, you can</li>
<li>Visit the <a href="http://uk.blackberry.com/apps/blackberry-world/download.html" target="_blank">this other link</a> with your PC, and submit your email address in the box provided, hit submit and a link to download the App World would be sent to your email. This address MUST be integrated with your BlackBerry device.</li>
</ol>
That's all you need! So goodluck getting your App World back on your device. :-) 
 
 To ensure that your BlackBerry smartphone will support BlackBerry World™, it must have the following:

<li>BlackBerry® Device Software v5.0 or higher (Click Options then About or Device > About Device Versions to find your software version). Learn how to update your device software.</li>

Okay, lemme explain properly. As some of you may know already, I am a student. I recently just concluded my Industrial Training (or Attachment) which I began sometime last year. The experience, to God's glory and praise, was very educative and enlightening as it granted me more insight into the tenets, principles and practices of my discipline. But taking a "French leave" was not and never my intention though I did finally take one and I SINCERELY apologize for not posting these few months. 
 
I hope y'all forgive me already??? 
 
Well, I am fully back and I promise to be regular from today henceforth.
