As with every thing that has a good beginning online, a time always comes when they have to tow the line of advertising. Instagram just happens to be no exception.

The popular social network and picture sharing website/app has announced that it will start serving ads to users on their feeds as a way of increasing revenues. This announcement which was made on Wednesday by Instagram claims that the ad-serving services would go on for the next couple of months, Instagram says.

Instagram which was bought by Facebook in the middle of last year says it wants to ensure that
"any advertisements you see feel as natural to Instagram as the photos and videos many of you already enjoy from your favorite brands"
and that  the displayed ads will
"be enjoyable and creative in much the same way you see engaging, high-quality ads when you flip through your favorite magazine."
Instagram also reminds users that they own their videos and photos and the introduction of ads won't affect the way you share your stuffs. In their words:

All hope is not lost though, as Instagram reminds users that they

"own your own photos and videos. The introduction of advertising won’t change this."
Also, users would be able to block ads they don't like and also be able to give a feedback to Instagram about the kinda ads they'd want to see on their feeds.
